Prayer Points for June 2021

  1. Mission accomplished – Dear God, so often I have missed the main objective. I realize the Lord Jesus always accomplished his mission because he always followed his Father’s leading. Therefore, control my life and cause me to accomplish your mission for me. (Luke 9:51-53)
  2. Abounding in hope – Oh Lord, there are so many depressing things going on today. At times I feel so hopeless. Therefore, I trust you Holy Spirit to grant me joy and peace in the midst of my trials. Please empower me to live in these difficult times and abound in hope! (Rom. 15:13)
  3. The burden bearer – Heavenly Father, the demands of life are great. I get exhausted from all my failed attempts. I give up my efforts and come to you. I trust you to bear my burdens for me. Thank you that I can be yoked to you through my union with Christ and thereby find rest. (Matt. 11:28-30)
  4. A God thing – Oh Lord God, I feel like I am at an impasse. You offer a new beginning. I ask you to make a way where there is no way. I submit to you and your way for me. Thank you for giving me a new way of life. This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous to behold! (Isa. 43:19)
  5. God’s way through – Dear God, I realize that I was going in the wrong direction. I thank you for the reproofs in my life, and as a result, I repent. I turn from my old ways to you, the living way. Fill me with the Spirit so that I can walk in the right path. Cause me to hear your words of life. (Prov. 1:23)
  6. God is my strength – “I love you, O Lord, my strength” (Ps. 18:1).
Many times, God needs to break us before we recognize our need of him. Accept the crisis you face as an invitation to humbly submit to his lordship, and thank and praise him that his power is made perfect in our weakness.
  7. God is my deliverer – “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer” (Ps. 18:2a). No one must lose hope. The almighty God, who is holy, just, full of love and mercy, saves us through Jesus Christ, his Son. In faith, surrender to his lordship and allow him to fight your battles.
  8. God is my salvation – “The Lord is my rock … in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold” (Ps. 18:2b). When Christ, who overcame the powers of darkness, lives in us, you and I can sing: “On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.”
  9. Call on the Lord – “I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised and I am saved from my enemies” (Ps. 18:3). Life’s primary battleground is of a spiritual nature. Your enemies are the flesh, the world and the Devil. Experience his victory today as you offer your life as a sacrifice of praise.
  10. God hears – “He heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry for help before him came into his ears” (Ps. 18:6b). When the Lord occupies the sanctuary of your heart, you can always pray with trust. He knows you and will grant you the peace, wisdom and strength to face life’s challenges.
  11. God acts – “He sent from on high; he took me; he drew me out of many waters” (Ps. 18:16). A man who experiences God’s work in his life is a man who stands firm in adversity. Pray that your spouse and children will see God’s handiwork in you, and be encouraged to follow your leading.
  12. God is stronger – “He delivered me from my strong enemy. And from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me” (Ps. 18:17). Christian values and absolutes clash with the relativistic worldview of today. Trust the Lord to use you as his witness. Pray that he will enable you to be salt and light.
  13. God is with us – “They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my stay” (Ps. 18:18) The enemy attacks when you are most vulnerable. Don’t let disappointments, physical our material needs weaken your faith. O man, believe that the Lord is with you. He will supply your needs.
  14. Counselors – Our Lord offers good advice to his followers in any situation. As Christians, we can also learn from each other. Thank God for your own counselors, and pray that you will be able to give good spiritual and practical advice to fellow believers. (Isa. 9:6)
  15. Lasting fruit – When God created the world, he made plants and trees with seeds so they could reproduce themselves. A Christian is called to
reproduce himself by becoming a disciple maker. Pray that you will succeed in encouraging others to do the same. (2 Tim. 2:1-2)
  16. Against all hope – Abraham believed God, who promised to give him a son with his wife Sarah, although humanly speaking, this was against all hope. Pray that you will have faith in God, believing that he will keep his promises even when this seems impossible. (Rom. 4:18-21)
  17. A tool in God’s hand – God is eager to see you succeeding in your ministry as a “fisher of men.” You are, however, only a tool in his hands. Pray that he will grant you success to bring in a good catch. Thank God Almighty for allowing you to be used in his ministry. (Matt. 4:18-19)
  18. A contagious faith – A strong faith is contagious in the best meaning of the word. Pray today that the light from heaven will shine through you so other people can see Jesus in your life, have a desire to get what you have and find what you have found in him (Acts 16:29-31).
  19. Prayer – God is pleased when we call on him. Really, prayer is simply speaking with God and hearing his voice. Therefore, pray: “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening” (1 Sam. 3:10).
  20. Loving God – “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of his benefits” (Ps. 103:2). My gratitude to the Lord for his goodness fills my heart with joy and makes my love to him grow.
  21. Blessing – “But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matt. 5:44). Jesus exemplified this. By his power, which he offers to us, you and I can practice the same.
  22. Prosperity – “If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them” (Ps. 62:10b). It doesn’t matter if our possessions are plenty or few, it is God who entrusts us with them for our enjoyment. Therefore, be thankful and use them to bless others.
  23. Very good – “Male and female He created them” (Gen. 1:27b). Appreciate the fact that you are a man and value the gift the Lord gave you in your maleness. If you are married, enjoy your wife. The Lord entrusted her to you to do her good.
  24. Sovereignty – How wonderful to be able to praise and adore the Lord, our God, for he is sovereign and in control of everything. Even in hard times can we trust him, because all authority is in his hands. (Ps. 117)
  25. Sensibility – The problems and circumstances of life can harden our hearts to the point that we are unaware of the hurts we cause to others. Men, let’s ask the Lord to test and examine our hearts. Let’s be ready to repent and to ask for forgiveness for our sins. (James 5:16)
  26. Cure – The pandemic revealed serious relationship problems among people. Lord, we pray for the physical, emotional and spiritual healing of individuals and for a special touch of your grace in bringing families together in peace and harmony. (1 Thess. 5:13b)
  27. Authorities – Lord, as men who love and serve you, we intercede for those in authority in our counties, states and national governments. May these men and women recognize that you are the Lord of lords and seek your wisdom and guidance. (1 Tim. 2:1-5)
  28. Church – Lord Jesus, may your name be exalted in your Church. We cry out to you, asking that your Holy Spirit will strengthen your people with faith and with the boldness to witness and influence our society in the way the early Christians did. (Acts 4:29-31)
  29. Provision – “When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you” (Ps. 128:2). Let’s pray to be men of discernment and wise administrators of the goods the Lord gave us. Let’s trust him fully to help us provide for the needs of our families.
  30. Revival – “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Ps. 90:12). In spite of the pandemic, research in the U.S. shows fewer people are convinced there is more to life than their daily activities. Pray fervently for God to send moral and spiritual revival in our days.
