Prayer Points for July 2019

  1. God’s provision is worthy of men’s praise. Pray that children will witness their fathers praising God for his faithfulness and absorb the lesson as they grow (Psalm 150:6).
  2. Pray for God to stir husbands to appreciate their wives and praise them to their children and others (Proverbs 31:28).
  3. In a desperate hour, Job proclaimed, “Though He slay me, yet I will hope in Him. Pray for husbands and fathers to model an attitude of praise to God in all circumstances (Job 13:15).
  4. Jesus accused many of the religious leaders of valuing the praise of man over the praise of God. Pray that husbands and fathers will praise Jesus Christ in all their ways. (John 12:42-43)
  5. James wrote that praise and cursing should not come out of the same mouth. Pray that husbands will use their words to edify their wife and not tear her down (James 3:10)
  6. Oh Lord Jesus, You gave your pure and perfect life so that I might have life—Your Life! I stand amazed in your presence. What an honor to have your life in me, and to have your life as my life. I have been crucified with Christ. Now I know for myself what your amazing grace is all about! (Romans 6:6)
  7. Heavenly Father, sometimes it is so difficult to be hopeful, much less expectant. I look at my circumstances, and all I see are problems and obstacles. But when I look at the Lord Jesus, everything changes because nothing is too hard for You! Cause me to look to You and expectantly wait upon You to solve my problems and meet my needs. (Psalm 62:5)
  8. Lord Jesus, I realize that so much of what I call faith is only mental assent. I have the words, but not the works. Now I see that when my faith is truly in You, then You will do the work through me. If there are no works, my faith is dead—void of life. Grant me the grace to step out by faith in dependency upon You so that You might accomplish Your works through me. (Romans 6:10-11)
  9. Oh Lord, Your Word tells me that Your life is a spiritual life. You are Spirit and the only way I can truly know You is by Your Holy Spirit. I ask You to enlighten me by Your Spirit. Show me all that you have done for me through Christ, and all that you have made me to be as a new creation in Christ. Empower me by your Spirit to live this new life day by day. (Ephesians 1:18-19)
  10. Oh Lord Jesus, at times I seek a sign, some proof or reassurance, but you have given us all the signs we need in the Scriptures. Every time you answer someone’s prayer, it is another sign that you are real and alive. Therefore, I trust you to live your life through me. I praise you, because you are all the proof I need! (John 20:30-31)
  11. Heavenly Father, I have been so deceived. I have heard your Word and even attempted to live by your Word. But I see that I have not truly been a doer of the Word. Now I understand that Christ is the only one who can do the Word because He is the Living Word. Lord Jesus, enable me to be a doer of the Word by you doing the work through me. (James 1:22)
  12. Dear Lord Jesus, I have recognized your Lordship over my past and my future, but I have not fully submitted to your Lordship over my present life. I acknowledge you as Lord of all my life. I now step out by faith in total dependency upon you to exercise your Lordship over my life. Therefore, cause me to do whatever you say (Matthew 7:24).
  13. Oh Lord, so many of my labors have been in vain. Although I have been sincere in my efforts, I now know that only what is done by Christ will last because you alone are the Eternal One. I trust you to be the Source of my life. Thank you that, as I live out of my union with Christ, my labors will never be in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).
  14. Dear heavenly father, please make me a true worshiper. “I will bless the LORD, at all times; His praise shall be continually in my mouth. My soul will make its boast in the LORD. The humble will hear it and rejoice. O magnify the LORD with me and let us exalt his name together” (Psalms 34:1-3).
  15. The walk of faith is the reliance on God’s promises, even when we don’t feel like it. “I sought the LORD, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears” (Psalms 34:4).
  16. When fear and even despair want to grip you, do like Kind David. Focus on your faithful redeemer and allow him to speak to your soul. “They looked at Him and were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed” (Psalms 34:5).
  17. The testimony of men and women of faith encourage us to trust the Lord always. “This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him and saved him out of all his troubles” (Psalms 34:6).
  18. Praise God, you are never alone. Thank the Lord for His provision. “The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them” (Psalms 34:7).
  19. When you are exhausted and defeated, abandon yourself in God’s loving care. “O taste and see that the LORD is good, how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him” (Psalms 34:8).
  20. Ask the Lord to be always the first in your life. He will honor you. “O fear the LORD, you, his saints; for to those who fear Him there is no want” (Psalms 34:9).
  21. Thank the Lord for the promise that he provides for you today. “The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; but they that seek the LORD, shall not be in want of any good thing” (Psalms 34:10).
  22. Pray for wisdom and boldness to lead your children God’s way. “Come you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of you, LORD.” (Psalms 34:11)
  23. Ask the Lord to fill your heart with His wisdom so that your words will reflect his goodness und truth. “Who is the man who desires life and loves length of days that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit” (Psalms 34:12-13).
  24. Pray for discernment and determination to stand for what is right. “Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it” (Psalms 34:14).
  25. Remember that God is sovereign and hears our humble prayers. “The eyes of the LORD, are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the LORD is against evil doers, to cut off the memory of them from the earth” (Psalms 34:15-16).
  26. Thank the Lord for knowing and loving you. “The righteous cry, and the LORD, hears and delivers them out of all their troubles” (Psalms 34:17).
  27. Welcome trials in your life as a means to draw you to God. “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalms 34:18).
  28. Thank God, that he knows the end from the beginning and promised to be with us when it hurts. “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers them out of them all. He keeps all his bones, not one of them is broken” (Psalms 34:19-20).
  29. Pray that believers, who suffer persecution, will not lose heart, rather stand firm in the faith, knowing that the Lord has the last word. “Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned” (Psalms 34:21).
  30. A sign of the end times is the aggressive opposition to biblical values and godly authority. Pray to be wise and firm in your conduct. Be a man of character who makes a difference through his speech and behavior, and be always ready to testify of the hope in you. (1 Peter 3:15)
  31. God has given you, man, authority to represent Christ to your wife and family. Therefore, make God’s priorities, your priorities. Be a student of Scripture and pray sincerely for the Holy Spirit to generate his fruit in your life. (Galatians 5:22.23)
