- Saved by grace – Thank God today that you are his friend. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to pay for our sins on the cross. Believing in Jesus, we are saved by grace and accepted in God’s family. (Rom. 8:16)
- God wants you – The Bible tells us to live holy and godly lives as we look forward to the day of God and speed its coming (2 Pet. 3:12). By participating in fulfilling the Great Commission, we can speed Jesus’ return. Pray that you will be willing to go wherever God wants you to go and take on the tasks he has prepared for you. (Eph. 2:10)
- Lead others to Jesus – Only the Holy Spirit can open the hearts of people and convict them of the need for righteousness and their guilt regarding sin and judgment (John 16:8). However, God often uses followers of Jesus to bring others into his presence. Pray that you will always be available whenever he needs you. (Isa. 6:8)
- God cares for you – Life in this world is often difficult. If you experience hardships right now, remember what the Bible says: Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you (1 Pet. 5:7). Thank the almighty God that he cares for you.
- You are not alone – Jesus says: Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me, he tells us. Give him thanks today for his love and concern for you. (John 14:1)
- Connect to the power source – Sometimes, a man feels overwhelmed with the responsibilities of being a leader, provider, protector and counselor for his family. Pray for men to draw their strength and wisdom from their intimate pursuit of the Lord. (Phil. 4:13)
- Learn in silence – Being still and knowing that he is God, learning to wait upon the Lord is where men are galvanized to stand up to temptation and fortified with strong character. Pray for men to practice the art of stillness in his presence. (Ps. 46:10)
- Living in Christ – True Christian character is Christ’s very character in a man. It’s not us trying to live for Christ; it’s us living in Christ. He is our life. Pray that we as men will learn to cultivate this organic oneness and flow in Christ. (Gal. 2:20)
- Men of principles – Godly men live by strong moral principles that govern their behavior. Pray for men to absorb the biblical principles of God’s Word, which guide us and reinforce godly ethics. (Ps. 119:11)10.
- A wake-up call – Dear God, I have been in a daze, oblivious to your purposes for my life, but you have given me a wake-up call to bring me out of my slumber. I was settling for the dead works of the flesh when I should have been walking in newness of life. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ, for illuminating my way. (Eph. 5:14)
- God is the source – Oh Lord, I have tried so hard. I am exhausted. I don’t feel like I can go on anymore. But I realize now that you are here for me. You have come to indwell me. My flesh is weak, but you are the strength of my life. You will always be my portion – the source and supply of my every need. (Ps. 73:25-26)
- God opens the door – Dear God, adversaries are everywhere. Opposition abounds, but that is no problem for you. You have opened a door for me that no one can shut. Furthermore, you will enable me to be effective in accomplishing the purposes you have for me. (1 Cor. 16:9)
- Ask for God’s perspective – Lord Jesus, because you indwell me, I realize that even my afflictions can work for me. Therefore, grant me the grace to see life from your perspective. Then cause me to walk by faith looking only to you, the invisible God, so that you can work all things together for my good. (2 Cor. 4:17-18)
- A new person – When you decided to become a follower of Jesus Christ, and you invited him into your life as your Savior and Lord, you became a brand-new person inside (2 Cor. 5:17). Thank God and give him praise.
- A holy life – The Holy Spirit has the power to transform you into the image of Jesus Christ, but you decide how much influence the Holy Spirit will have on you. Make sure he’ll have enough space in your life to transform you from within (Eph. 5:18).
- We are conquerors – There is no doubt that evil forces are continuously attacking followers of Jesus. However, God has given you access to weapons that are even stronger (2 Cor. 10:4). Thank God and give him praise.
- The unreached – According to organizations like Joshua Project, there are still about 7,000 ethnic groups in the world that are considered unreached by the gospel. Pray that mission organizations will do more to reach out to those people groups. (Matt. 28:19-20)
- A vast crowd – Salvation occurs when an individual makes the personal choice to believe in the atoning death of Christ. So that people everywhere will hear, TWR broadcasts the gospel in over 230 languages. Thank God that when the end comes, people from all nations and languages will be standing in front of the throne in heaven. (Rev. 7:9)
- Pray for leaders – “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Tim. 2:1-2). Lord, we lift up all those you have placed in authority over us. Work through them so we may live peaceful and quiet lives.
- Submit to those in authority – “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God” (Rom. 13:1). Lord, grant us peace and faith to trust that you are working through our leaders, even when they fall short of what you called them to be.
- Path to healing – “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chron. 7:14) Father, thank you for showing us that the path to healing starts with us humbling ourselves.
- Prosper your community – “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper” (Jer. 29:7). Lord, make us to peacemakers as we pray for our community to spiritually prosper.
- Respect those in authority – “Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor” (1 Pet. 2:17). The apostle Peter taught the early Church to honor the emperor who, according to tradition, would ultimately crucify him upside down. Lord, grant me the courage to trust your sovereign rule over all authority.
- Allow God to rule – “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:9-10). As you pray, remember that our God is a perfect father. He is sovereign over creation, and his rule is always just. Ask him to make you his ambassador, translating and reflecting his values.
- Be thankful and share – “Give us this day our daily bread” (Matt. 6:11). Nearly half the world’s population is poor, and more than half a billion live in extreme poverty. Never stop to thank the Lord for the daily provision of all you need for living. Please pray and help wherever you can, enabling others to experience God’s provision.
- Learn forgiving with Jesus – “Forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors” (Matt. 6:12). Unforgiveness is the main reason for conflicts in society. If you harbor anger and revenge, you become a prisoner of your unforgiving spirit and turn into a negative and bitter person. God wants to forgive you – if you are willing to forgive others as Jesus did.
- Watch and pray – “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one” (Matt. 6:13). God cannot be tempted by the evil one; neither does the Lord tempt anyone (James 1:13). But he might test us, thereby granting us an opportunity to grow. Be aware of your weakness to give in to sin, and be watchful and prayerful against the Enemy’s schemes.
- Forgive and be forgiven – “For if you forgive when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you” (Matt. 6:14). The heart is never happier and the spirit never freer than when God restores our relationship with him. Therefore, be decisive, pray aloud, mention the name of those who sinned against you and forgive them in the name of Jesus.
- Take action – “But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins” (Matt. 6:15). Here lies the main reason for the powerless and joyless Christian life. Therefore, please don’t hesitate! Allow for the Holy Spirit to search your heart and make things right between you and God and you and other men.
- The Lord is coming – “There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven” (Luke 21:11). We live in the end times, and God is making the last appeal for men to repent. Pray that he will empower you to be a faithful and wise servant whom the Master finds ready at his return. (Matt. 24:45)
